Rdevia seeks to serve all HBCUs across the country and they communities that need them most.

In Miami alone, we have helped both HBCUs and those who need help by doing the following:

-Visiting middle and high schools to talk about HBCUs and the college process.
-Hosting panel discussions featuring HBCU students and alumni at high schools for rising and graduating seniors.
-Volunteering with local organizations like Breakthrough Miami, Camilus House, FIU Black Student Union, and Susan G. Komen.
-Feeding and providing resources to the homeless.
-Installing a free mini-library at Lil Greenhouse Grill for children to have access to literature.

Brief history: Rdevia was founded on March 5, 2015 by Marquise M. McGriff, M.A., who was then just a first-year student at the illustrious Florida Memorial University. The organization has since grown from a student organization with a few members to a national organization with members in 20 states. Our members now include HBCU students, alumni, faculty, and staff from an array of schools including but not limited to Bethune-Cookman University (FL), Fisk University (TN), Jarvis-Christian College (TX), Hampton University (VA), Lincoln University (MO), Morehouse and Superman Colleges (GA), Tougaloo College (MS), and Tuskegee University (AL).
