I was born in Charlotte North Carolina
I grew up in the home but I had a Christian mother and a father Who was not a Christian but I gambler he did what he thought was right to take care of his seven children Salt Lake confusion in the home mother one else to go to church and daddy wanted us to be with him at his restaurant any of his businesses so I was torn between two but he died earlier my childhood and I left a hoe in my life so my mother tried all she could to take care of all seven children that's why I turn to drugs and alcohol define some help so I start hanging out in the clubs people in the neighborhood and in 1986 I got hooked on crack I was already on alcohol marijuana cigarettes but crack took me into our a lower level whereas I pray to God he set me free New Year's night 1990 years ago 33 years ago and I've been free ever since and I never went back no if I'm ever going back
Mission
To reach many women who are incarcerated and to teach them train them to be better citizens in our community through peer support training and chaplaincy training freedom prison and jail ministry has been in existence for 26 years our mission is simple to provide inmates what they need before they released back into society to provide housing food shelter and counseling and spiritual leader ship freedom prison and jail ministry motto is each one reach one everybody has a responsibility I'll be in a Brother's keeper and meet that inmate at the port of their need to let them see and let them know that they have hope and not to give up on life and helped lead them to make better decisions for their life because only they can change their life and make a better life no matter how bad they have messed up in life there's still hope into help them discover that hope that they have and use it to create them a better life freedom prison the gym ministry is a Ministry of hope that we have hope .
